Built in 1887, as Peninsula’s original cheese factory, this historic building sits close to the railroad tracks. making it easy to ship products to market. Peninsula once boasted a thriving cheese business. The building next store, known as the Ice House was used in support of the Cheese Factory as a way to store is during the cheese making process.
Today the Cheese Factory is used as an airbnb for people looking for a place to escape while visiting Peninsula.
